Queen’s Reward Meadery

Video Production

Queen's Reward is Mississippi's first meadery — an award-winning operation in Tupelo making mead with honey harvested exclusively from Mississippi. Their challenge: mead's popularity is growing, but most people still don't know what it actually is. So they commissioned a video to show the whole process, hive to glass.

My friend Paul Mitchell's agency, Likemind Co., brought me in and directed the creative; I handled the shooting decisions, camera work, edit, and delivery across two shoot days and three locations around the state.

The video tells the story with no dialogue at all — just the visuals and a blues-rock music bed. It opens in slow motion, two beekeepers in full suits walking a field of hives. From there: the honey collection up close, the extraction warehouse, then the meadery itself — bottles marching down the conveyor, filling with mead, corks dropping in by machine with the logo landing face-out every time. It ends where the product does: the tasting room, in the hands of happy customers.

From the field to your glass, this mead is sweet indeed.
